From Principal Maldonado:
Greetings Duval MYcroSchool families
We hope you have an amazing school year with Duval MYcro! For those of you that are new and returning students and families we welcome you!
There is information in the Google Classroom Virtual Orientation about the Student Handbook for 2526 posted on our website, Acceptable Technology Use Policy, Code of Conduct, School Uniform, and school safety information. Additionally, all communications will go on the school’s Band app. For questions about virtual orientation, please email Mr. Booth, Mrs. Waters, or Mr. McDonald at stephen.booth@duvalmycroschool.org, anne.waters@duvalmycroschool.org, and evan.mcdonald@duvalmycroschool.org.
Additionally, all students and parents/guardians should be on the Band app QR code:

School uniform shirts have already gone on sale from 10am to 3pm daily. Students will not be able to start school on the first day unless they already have their uniform. Uniform t-shirts and sweatshirts can be purchased with correct cash only in the front office with a limit of 3 shirts per student. We strongly suggest that you purchase at least 1 sweatshirt and multiple undershirts to wear underneath, as the building temperature can vary. The dress code is in the student handbook on our website at www.duvalmycroschool.org.
Pricing for school uniform shirts can also be found on our website. Those students who have already had their ID picture taken will be issued their student ID and lanyard upon entry on the first day of school.
Teachers are the first point of contact for issues and concerns. Make sure your student knows who his or her advisory teacher is. This person is found on their schedule. Teacher emails are listed on www.duvalmycroschool.org. The advisory teacher will support them through their educational journey in addition to the other staff at Duval MYcroSchool.
Invites for the College Summit program have gone out from your teachers and advisors. Don’t miss the opportunity to earn yourself a light blue cord at graduation and get extra support for your postsecondary journey if you want to go to trade school, military, or college. Students must attend all four sessions to receive the light blue cord and personalized para at the last session. Lunch will be served at all four sessions. Please see the flyer for more details.
Please keep in mind that each student has a specific shift. AM students go from 8:30am-1:34pm, and PM students attend at 9:46am-2:50pm. Please make note of early dismissal days as we do follow the district calendar, but due to testing and other academic functions, we have more early dismissal days. BOTH SHIFTS attend from 8:30am-1:34pm on early dismissal days. Please see our school calendar posted on our website and social media. Do not bring your scholar to any other shift on regular school days other than the one on their schedule. Students will not be allowed in if they are more than fifteen minutes tardy for school. This policy is in our student handbook on our website and in the Virtual Orientation classroom.
Directions to receive Edmentum progress reports for your student are posted on the school’s website. The document is titled Edmentum Sensei for Courseware Families. If you registered using the directions on our website and don’t see a progress report, let us know, or check your junk mail.
